Country / Rock albums we've heard all year."
The Akademia Music Awards - May 2016
Andrew Thomas Walton was born and raised in the Metroplex of Dallas, Texas. He began his musical career as a drummer and even hit the road full time at the ripe old age of 16. However, as Andrew puts it, he picked up the guitar "...because you can't serenade girls on a drum set." He formed several bands with his brother and played popular nightspots as well as college venues throughout Texas. However, as most bands do, the individual members moved on to pursue other interests. So, after college, Andrew served in various capacities as an officer in the US Army. During this time he occasionally applied his talents to bolster the morale of soldiers serving in exotic locales. In 2013, Andrew returned to the Dallas area, and was invited to apply his talents on Vocals, Lead Guitar, Banjo, Dobro and Lap Steel in support of several local artists. In late 2015, Andrew released his first full length CD entitled “Love and Litigation”. Andrew wrote, sang and played all instruments and in May 2016, “Love and Litigation” was named an Executive Selection for Best Country / Rock Album by the Akademia Music Awards.
